Preventing Child Sexual Abuse Through Education & Action
Will County Children's Advocacy Center provides FREE Stewards of Children® by Darkness to Light evidence-informed, sexual abuse prevention training that educates and empowers adults on how to prevent, recognize, and respond to child sexual abuse.
- Stewards of Children is designed for organizations that serve children and youth.
- The program believes and teaches that child safety is an adult's responsibility, and that education and training are key to empowering action.
Through real-life scenarios and guided discussion, participants will gain the knowledge and confidence needed to help protect children and strengthen community prevention efforts by learning to:
- Identify warning signs
- Take responsible action when concerns arise
Our evidence-informed Stewards of Children® training—one of the only adult-focused child sexual abuse prevention programs in the United States—has been proven to increase knowledge and change behavior.
