We’re firing up the ovens and cranking up the burners for the 16th Annual MEN WHO COOK fundraiser benefiting the Will County Children’s Advocacy Center. I respectfully invite you to take a sponsorship role in this signature event, which provides critical funding for our mission of bringing hope, healing, and justice to children who have experienced sexual abuse and severe physical abuse.

In 1995, I founded the Will County Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) to provide abused children with a safe, child-friendly place where they can begin the difficult journey toward healing. Today, the CAC brings together law enforcement, DCFS investigators, prosecutors, medical professionals, forensic interviewers, family advocates, and trauma therapists to ensure that children receive the specialized care and support they need.

When a child makes an outcry of abuse, our trained forensic interviewers conduct a victim-sensitive, non-suggestive forensic interview in a safe and child-friendly environment. The CAC also provides trauma-focused advocacy and mental health services designed to help children process what they have experienced, regain a sense of safety, and begin healing.

MEN WHO COOK brings together men from throughout the Will County community who showcase their culinary talents by preparing their favorite appetizers, entrées, and desserts. Guests sample the dishes while enjoying a fun, spirited competition—all while supporting an incredibly important cause.

More than 1,000 guests and sponsors attend MEN WHO COOK each year, helping us raise nearly $100,000 to support the Will County Children’s Advocacy Center and the children we serve.  Behind every dollar raised, is a child whose life has been changed!

Every day at the Will County Children’s Advocacy Center, we see children who have endured unimaginable abuse or witnessed terrifying violence begin to reclaim their childhood. We see frightened children become stronger. We see families find support. And we see hope return.  Your sponsorship helps make that possible.
